Hello! I am the webmasters climbing protégé, Sparkle. I moved to the UK from sunny SA about 2 years ago and realised my past 20 years of surfing the best beach in the world had come to an end. Just when I thought about reversing my mistake, I was fortunate enough to meet Richard who introduced me to rock climbing at an indoor climbing centre in London where I was instantly hooked. Soon after that I was doing outdoor routes in the Peak District, Sardinia and Snowdonia. The highlight of this year was our trip to Chamonix - going to the Alps, traveling up a mountain in a cable car, reaching high altitude and wearing crampons all for the first time and doing my first ever mountaineering route. When I am not on my bike whizzing around London's pubs and climbing shops or practising poi, I spend my time plotting the next adventure, preferably plunging ice axes into some hard ice.
