We decided in early February that we really wanted to get some water Ice in this year.  We had already ordered some axes for Candy and when the first reports of Ice forming in Rjukan came in we decided to jump at the chance. The only time available was immediately before our planned trip to El Chorro, this would give us a few days playing on frozen waterfalls and then a week clipping bolts in the sun.

Although we only had four days climbing time available we definitely made the most of it. This is how we got on in Rjukan.

This is a little information about our trip to El Chorro. It was pretty eventful as as early on Sparkle got hit by a rock that came from the heavens. This report doesn't go into too much detail about the incident (we'll write a separate article on that) but does contain the logistics of the trip and details about the area in general.  

This is a test run for some video that we hope to be filming in Spain soon. Candy is climbing, I'm belaying and my brother Chulpy is operating a head mounted bullet cam (and commentating).  The idea behind this is to test the feasibility of taking this ultralightweight system on routes and then redistribute the results via the website.
